araujo, mexico, starFull name :Patricio Gabriel Araujo Vázquez
Date of birth :January 30, 1988 (1988-01-30) (age 21)
Place of birth :Colima, Colima, Mexico
Height :1.77 m (5 ft 9+1⁄2 in)
Playing position :Sweeper
Defensive Midfielder

Araujo became well-known at 2005 as captain of the Mexican National team that won the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru, wearing jersey # 2. Since he was the captain, he became the first Mexican football player to have held up a World Champion trophy. El Pato (a common nickname for Patricio meaning "duck") forced his way into Chivas first team, but he did not accompany the Mexican National Team to the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, held in Cartagena, Colombia, because it conflicted with Chivas's Copa Libertadores campaign. After many very good games, in which he wore jersey # 78, Araujo became a vital piece in José Manuel de la Torre's squad, earned jersey # 5 after Carlos Salcido's departure from the team, and played all the games of Apertura 2006 season which Chivas would win; thus becoming, along with teammate Omar Esparza, the first member of the U-17 World Champion Mexican Team to get another championship after the World Cup in Peru. Even though Araujo had become a regular in the midfield lineup for Chivas, the regional eliminatories for the U-20 World Cup during February 2007 made José Manuel de la Torre to substitute Araujo with teammate Edgar Mejía. Even after losing his place in Chivas' starting lineup, Araujo was selected by Jesús Ramírez to be captain of the Mexican National Team that played the 2007 U-20 World Cup Championship in Canada, wearing again jersey # 2. The Mexican National Team lost the game in quarter-finals against Argentina. After the World Cup, he returned to Chivas, where he would play in the few opportunities he'd be given. On October 13, 2007, during the Apertura 2007 championship, Araujo scored his first goal as a professional against Necaxa. At the beginning of Clausura 2008 championship, Araujo scored another goal, this time against Pumas UNAM. Clausura 2008 seems as a great chance for Araujo to get back his place in Chivas' lineup as a starter, since Edgar Mejia was injured during the pre-season. Big things are expected from Patricio Araujo, since he is the leader of the most successful generation yet of Mexican soccer and one of the kindest football players over the world. Despite not being in Chivas' starting lineup. With the firing of Hugo Sanchez Mexico selected youth coach Jesús Ramírez as the interim and has called up on Patricio Araujo in their game against China. Curiously, the player who plays as starter in Araujo's position at Chivas, Edgar Mejía, hasn't even made his debut in the national team.Patricio Araujo has played with the Mexico national football team in three categories. He played with the Mexico U-17 in which Mexico won the U-17 World Cup played in Peru in 2005. 2 years later he played with the Mexico U-20 for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2007 in Canada. In both teams he wore jersey # 2. Finally, on August 22 he was called up to the national senior team to play a friendly match against the Colombian national football team, where he played 55 minutes. He played his second game in the National Mexican team against Guatemala on October 17, 2007 and played 87 minutes. With the senior National team he wears jersey # 8. After his debut with the senior national team, he was called for the U-23 team which failed at getting a place at the Football Tournament at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. With the U-23 team he wore jersey # 6 and was no longer the captain.

ANDRES
José Andrés Guardado Hernández (born September 28, 1986 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican international footballer who plays as a left winger for Deportivo de La Coruña in La Liga. He is known for his long-distance left-footed strikes, dribbling, agility, and pace.Guardado started playing professionally in F.C. Atlas, and made his league debut in August 2005 at 18 years old, in a 3–2 victory over Pachuca C.F in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He eventually became a very important player for Atlas, and would go on to play 64 games with the side, scoring 7 goals. In the summer of 2006, press speculations linked Guardado to several Italian Serie A teams, the Spanish club Real Madrid, and Portuguese club SL Benfica. However, Deportivo de La Coruña moved quickly and made an offer of €5.25m, for 75% of his rights which in turn will be worth a total of €7m. The Mexican side accepted the offer and the transfer was finalized on July 7, 2007. Atlas remained entitled a 25% sell-on-fee as long as they held the remaining 25% of his rights. He stated his happiness with the agreement, with a preference to move to Spain, as he would not have to learn any additional languages or cope with a non-Hispanic culture.[1]Guardado made his first international appearance for Mexico in a friendly match against Hungary on December 14, 2005, just four months after his first team debut for Atlas. Guardado was called up to represent his country in the 2006 World Cup in Germany. He played his first World Cup match against Argentina in the round-of-16 2–1 in extra time. Mexico coach Ricardo Lavolpe's contract expired and was not renewed, but his replacement, Hugo Sánchez, kept Guardado in the setup.

Freddy Adu

Full Name : Freddy Adu
Birth Date : June 2, 1989
Birth Place : Tema, Ghana
Height : 1.73m
Weight : 68 kg
Age : 20
Position : Midfielder

On April 3, Adu came on in United's first game of the 2004 season against the San Jose Earthquakes as a second-half substitute, making him the youngest player to appear in United States professional sports since 1887 (the next youngest was fifteen year old Joe Nuxhall, who played Major League Baseball in Cincinnati in 1944). On April 17, at the age of fourteen, Adu scored his first professional goal in the 75th minute of a 3–2 away loss against the MetroStars. He became the youngest player in MLS history ever to score a goal.

In his first season as a pro, Adu finished the year with five goals and three assists, while playing in all 30 regular season games. Although briefly a starter, Adu was relegated to a substitute when D.C. United acquired central midfielder Christian Gómez mid-season, and it was in this role that he appeared in United's MLS Cup victory. He played in three of four playoff games by D.C. United, assisting in one goal during that time.

Adu was criticized from a number of different angles in his first season as a professional. Some soccer commentators have suggested that Adu was too young to be playing professionally and that he needed more time to develop mentally and physically amongst players his own age. In his second season, he was suspended for one game[4] after he complained about his playing time in the media.[5] Continued development, especially of his defensive skills, helped Adu become a starting midfielder during the 2006 season. In addition, Adu had been chosen to take spot kicks during D.C. United's two penalty shootouts—scoring on both attempts.[6][7] He was selected to the MLS All-Star team twice, once as a commissioner's choice and once as the coach's. He was selected to the MLS 2006 semifinals Best XI by SoccerAmerica magazine. In 2005 he was nominated for FIFPRO Young player of the year.[8]

Place of birth :
Passaic, New Jersey, United States
Height :
5 ft 11 in (1.80 m)

In 2002, Szetela entered USSF's Bradenton Academy, graduating in May 2004. He then signed with Major League Soccer. His desire to play for his hometown club, the MetroStars, went unfulfilled. Though the MLS accommodated a similar request from another highly-touted youngster, Freddy Adu, they refused to let Szetela pick his team, instead putting him into the league-wide draft, with Columbus Crew ending up with his rights. Joining in mid-season, Szetela appeared in eight regular season and two playoff games, while recording a solitary assist. In 2005, Szetela struggled to get on the field with the Crew. During 2006, he was beset by injury troubles and only saw four games for Columbus.

On August 31, 2007, Szetela was signed by Racing de Santander, in the Spanish Primera División.[1] Szetela made his official debut with the Spanish club on November 14, in a scoreless draw against Málaga CF in the Copa del Rey. On January 29, 2008, Szetela was loaned out to Serie B side Brescia Calcio until June 30, 2008, with the option to purchase at the end. Szetela made his debut for Brescia Calcio on February 9, playing the last five minutes in a 4-2 comeback victory and made ten appearances total in Serie B.

Szetela extended his loan to Brescia Calcio through June 2009 on July 18, 2008. He scored his first goal for Brescia, his first professional goal in league play, on October 18, 2008, against Triestina. He returned to Spain on July 13, 2009.[2] However, the Spanish side decided against renewing his contract.

Szetela opted not to continue a career in Europe and returned back to the States and signed a contract with Major League Soccer. His contract was picked up by D.C. United, who were second in the allocation placements to sign returning U.S. international players.
[edit] International

In 2003, Szetela burst onto the world's stage during the Under-17 World Cup in Finland. The second-youngest player on the United States roster, he started all four American games, scoring two goals. In 2005, he was called up to the U.S. U-20 national team for the 2005 2005 World Youth Championship in the Netherlands. He played two games in that tournament. On June 30, 2007, Szetela scored the opening goal in the United States' match against South Korea in the U-20 World Cup. Three days later he recorded two goals in a winning effort over Poland, the country of both his parents.

Szetela made his debut for the USA on October 17, 2007, as a late-match substitute against Switzerland, and set up Michael Bradley's game-winning goal. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the national team, and provided their first win over Switzerland in seven matches. For a while, Szetela, who has a Polish passport and speaks Polish, was hesitating, as his parents wanted him to play for Poland. However, after former coach of Polish national team, Pawel Janas, stated publicly that "in Poland we have 200 players like Szetela,"[3] he decided to play for the U.S. In July 2008, Szetela was named to the U.S. team that competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics
